MNC VISITS TOWN HALL

MNC received an especial invitation by the Mayor of Maidstone to visit the town hall. Nearly a dozen of Nepalese members visited the hall and parlor of mayor on 12th May just a week before mayor cllr. Finishes her annual appointment. During the visit, the civic officer highlighted the history of the building. MNC chair presented a Khukuri as a sign of friendship and addressed on behalf of MNC. He stated that Nepalese community has built a robust and strong tie with the borough council and anticipating of its growth in coming days. Beverage drinks were kindly provided and visit was farewell by the informal and personal chat.

Madam mayor Clr. Denise Joy, Kenny Joy, ladies & gentlemen,
I am truly privileged to thank the Mayor for providing this opportunity to visit the town hall. Over the past few years, Nepalese community in Maidstone is growing and now is an integral part of the town. Our community enjoys a full support from the local bodies and locals. Maidstone Nepalese community has been attempting to work closely with the local bodies and other organisations. This helps for social integration and maintaining our social & cultural values.
Madam Mayor, in a very short period of time,Nepalese community has built a very robust relationship with the borough council and we hope it will further flourish in coming days. On behalf of our community, I would like to share our thanks to all those who contributed for Gurkha statue. This will remain a 'Symbol of friendship' forever in the town. Maidstone Nepalese community highly appreciates your support and contribution during your mayorship. We hope this relation grows stronger in the future. Finally, on behalf of our entire community, I would like to wish you a very best of luck for your councillor role.
